Well, the first APPA game of 2013 and after the close finish from last year, everyone was keen to make a good start to the year. First out and dealer for the night was English Pete � not his night and although he was keen not to be Midge�s bitch this time around � the pressure to do well turned him into the prostitute of the table � used and abused by almost everyone.
Next to go was the 2012 overall winner Midge. Not much working on the night and a finish he�ll be disappointed with.
Kobus was out in 5th position after obtaining a good early lead. The cards faded at the end for Kobus but he�s sneaking higher up the ladder.
In 4th position was one time king of the table Craig. Craig amassed a large number of chips mid to late in the game but couldn�t keep it going.
In 3rd place and his usual there or thereabouts performance was Dave. Dave played some good cards but was ultimately beaten by the �River Queen� Kev.
In 2nd place and ring-in for the night was Greg. This was only Greg�s 2nd game with the APPA and it seems we teach him well. Greg lasted a poor bunch of early cards early on to end up head to head with Kev. Unfortunately the �River Queen� was at it again and Kev took the honours for the night flopping a 3rd �4� on the river to beat Greg�s 2 pairs.
