The second game was a last minute thing with Leight having to pull out with a mystery illness to his son Milan. Spence then stood up and offered to host the event at his house. This changed after purchasing an inflatable boat on trademe and wanting to christen the vessel he pulled the pin on the eve of the big night. Not wanting to miss a sacred poker evening, I took on the mantel of resurrecting the evening and again offered to host at my little hovel.

Darren was once again in great form and as a result went up against me with a six high straight on the flop only to slow play the hand and walk into a higher straight on the turn. I pushed him all in and he was left with 5k in chips. This set me up for the rest of the night. James decided to leave shortly after the Hells pizza dinner and he sold his remaining chips to Darren for $20. This effectively bought Darren another hour at the table before he again walked into my ace high flush on the flop with two pairs and was knocked out first. Hamish was next to go to Phil. The next moment was between Tom, Phil and Spence with Tom taking out both parties in one hand (full house I believe). All the time Jeremy had been quietly amassing chips but were still no match to Tom as second chip leader and was knocked out in third position taking $20 for his efforts. This set up a heads up challenge between the brothers Dinsdale. The first time Tom had been in this position and with a third of the chips remaining it was always going to be a tall ask.

Needless to say I was victorious on the night.
