It was Johns night to host but due to venue changes and babysitting requirements, John hosted the night at Midges place and what a night of cards it was!
The night started early on with Midge and John almost all in after an hour of play! With the blinds at 50 100, the pot was a massive 45,000! Fortunately for John and Midge, they both had the same hand and split the pot but they both had worrying times and the thought of an early exist wasnt good!
Spence had the hand of the night with Quad Aces but unfortunately for him, no one to play with sorry Spence.
First out for the night was Mr. Consistent Hamish. He gave up his last 2 2nd place finishes to be first out for the night. The call of the spa pool may have had something to do with it!
2nd out for the night was our winner last time out Phil. Phil had a quiet night by his standards but again may just have wanted a Spa with Hamish!
John finished in 4th place and after being big stack for a lot of the early part of the evening watched his stack evaporate until it was all gone.
Our bubble boy for the night was Leight. Leight is playing consistently better cards these days but just seems to fall short of the money.
That left Spence and Midge to duke it out for the top honours.
The chips changed hands regularly with Spence moving from small stack to big stack and then fortunately for Midge but to small stack. Spence was convinced it was his night but Midge had other ideas and won the night.
It was indeed another great night and its amazing how much the games changes hour to hour. With John and Midge being the big stacks for the early part of the evening to John going out in 4th place to Midge not being able to make the 5000 big blind and coming back to win the night.
Are we all getting better or are the cards just mucking with our minds!
