Well it had been some time since our Sounds outing and Spence seemed to forget the occasion and let his wife go out instead!
Leight also managed to get tied up at work leaving the team down to 4 with ring in Chris making a 5 handed night.
John also at one stage was unsure of his attendance but after an e-mail from Phil on commitment - he arrived safe and well (if not a little late).
The night of cards was full of either great hands (2 sets of quads to Chris and Phil on different hands) and the occasional King High taking down the pot!
The guys are also improving greatly on the cards with a lot more thought going into the decisions being made. John especially doing some deep dark thinking!
First out for the night (and dealer) was Hamish. Things didn't go Hamish's way and was eventually put out by Chris.
Next to go was John. After trading chips with Midge and succumbing to the occasional bluff, John was taken out by Chris.
Third place for the night was Midge. After starting with a hiss and a roar proved the point yet again that good cards at the start of the night are not the time to get them. Midge was put out by Phil after Midge going all in on a pair of 8's for 25,000 and Phil calling with a pair of 4's. Unfortunately for Midge the flop produced another 4 for Phil which proved to be killer blow.
That left Phil and Chris to duke it out. Chris had amounted a huge amount of chips but Phil was definitely on a roll.
Phil (after not too long a time) knocked out Chris holding 2 pair (QQ & 66) but Phil was holding pocket kings giving him the better 2 pair of KK & QQ.
Phil's 2nd win on record and more worryingly his 2nd win in a row! Phil is definitely going strong and with one more game left to play this year.
