1.00 | Chris Neilson | A somewhat strange poker night this time for the Churton Park group. Chris called the game for the last Friday night of the school holidays and unfortunately only he and I were available. Did that stop us no! We brought in 5 new players for what proved to be another interesting night.
Most of the players had played some poker before which was great and its good to play against new players to keep you sharp.
Chriss pal from work (Lee) had to be the most unlucky Irishman Ive ever seen. He was first out followed by Mark who was the early chip lead and must of thought Texas Holdem was easy. Ed was next to go put out by our host for the night Chris leaving 4 players left.
Spence was put out again by our host Chris but Spence also got the best hand of the night with quad 4s pity no one else had a hand to play against him!
Bubble boy for the night was our host Chris with the last 2 players being Midge and Chris Neilson. Chris Neilson proved unbeatable midway through the evening easily becoming the big stack and dominating the mid stages. Fortunately for me his luck was to change and having avoided a small stack battle with Chris (Chris being put out by Chris) I was able to make some inroads into Chriss lead and eventually take the night.
As always it was a great night although hard work being the small stack and trying to fight back. All the guys (with the possible exception of Lee) had some good wins and seemed to enjoy their introduction to Texas Holdem.
