1.00 | Phil | An Amazing Night of Poker
What a night of excellent hands and tough fought battles. If you didn't have at least 2 pairs you may as well not have bothered!
This was evident on the 2nd hand of the night (unfortunately for me being that early) when Midge flopped a straight flush right out of the box. Being that early in the game there wasn't a huge amount of money on it but a straight flush is a straight flush!
Midge became the big stack early on and kept that way for most of the night until we got down to the last 4 where the chip stacks evened out.
A tired Leight was first out at the unusual time of 10:30 but the rest of the guys were all in till after 12.
Leight did his usual "I think Midge is Bluffing: routine and came of second best in the exchanges.
John fought hard to retain the hat and came back from a low stack position but was eventually put out by Spence.
Phil registered his first take downs knocking out Leight and John before being put out by Spence.
Hamish was his usual menacing self playing with his usual gusto and doing a pretty good job.
Spence claimed his first win in a while and is the fourth different winner in as many tournaments. This surely indicates that the boys are getting better at poker and having a lot of fun.
The boys also decided that this was the last outing before the Sounds weekend just to get expectation to fever pitch!
