Saturday Night Poker
Not the normal night for the boys to play poker but due to other commitments this month�s game was played on Saturday night.
While we enjoyed the early rounds we also suffered through the All Blacks playing Italy and thanks goodness for the fast forward button on MySky � the warriors playing the Titans. I for one was pretty glad when the TV went off and concentrated on the poker instead of the bad rugby!
For this month�s game at Leight�s, we had Leight, Hamish, Phil, John and Midge. Chris was brought in to replace Spence who had his folks down for the weekend (softie).
As it always seems to be these days, no one was out early with the first man our (Chris for a change) coming around midnight.
It certainly was a game of changing fortunes with the chips swirling round the table. Chris who was big stack for long enough ended up being first out and John who was the welfare kid went from rags to riches!
As always the boys had a great night with plenty of banter and �Pims�! The refurbished table also stood up to the evening after being severely wounded in a previous battle.
John was the deserved winner on the night and registers his first win since joining the crew in October last year. Good stuff and as John would say � long live Michael Jachson.
