First game of the year for the APPA without 3 of our regular members.
Craig was absent due to his brother being in hospital. Pierre was away and Dirty Dancing Dave has made the move to Australia. With that said we still managed to get a table of 9 together to start the season off in style at Kev�s.
2 brothers joining us for the evening were Craig and Simon Jonas. Regular players from the New Brew � they were sure to bring that added bit of spice to the game and did not disappoint. The brothers traded big pots early in the game until Craig was sent to the rail by his brother Simon. This gave Simon a huge advantage over the other players as he had at least double to stack of anyone else.
Next to go was Phil � �I�ll call� Mackintosh � played a few to many hands but its nice he kept everyone fairly honest!
7th for the evening and a bitterly disappointed was Kev. After a strong set of recent results Kev had what can only be described as an off night. Sure he will come back stronger than ever next time!
6th was English Pete quiet night for the Liverpool man and an unusual non 1st of last place finish.
5th was Ev his 2nd game with the boys now and is starting to get the hand of things. Can count himself pretty unlucky when he had 2 pairs against Midges pocket AA on the turn for Midge to hit a 3rd A on the river! His time will come.
4th for the night and a great 1st up showing was Hayden. Hayden finally made a game and showed good game to finish 4th for the night hopefully well see more of Hayden this year!
In 3rd place was the mighty Kobus. A great start to the year for our Kobus but finished just out of the money in 3rd place.
The final 2 for the night was Simon Jonas and Midge. Simon was still the big stack at the final 2 but a good run of late cards for Midge saw the fortunes change hands and Midge won his 3rd APPA game in a row. Midge can count himself pretty lucky at the moment but Im sure hell take that for as long as it lasts!
