Well the 2nd to last game of what has been a busy year for the APPA.

Host for the night and providing a great venue was Craig. Craig was the holder of the hat due to his brother Grant winning the last game. 9 players fronted up for a critical points game as there are plenty of positions up for grabs before the year closes out.

First out for the night and back to back winner of the pink hat was Dave. Dave has had a bad year by anyones standard and to go through the night without winning a single hand was tough. The question is is Dave leaving for Sydney for work or trying to find a lesser group of poker players Ill let you decide!

Next to go was last months winner Grant. Grant chased a lot of hands and eventually run out of money finishing in 8th spot.

Grants son Daniel who was joining us again finished just one spot ahead of his father in 7th.

Mr consistent was next to go. Its been a much better year for Kobus who is now consistently finishing in the middle of the table or higher with each game.

Our gracious host was next to go. Craig finished in 5th place after his usual performance of gaining large quantity of chips only to spread the wealth. Perhaps a new name for our Craig could be Robin Hood!

In fourth place and bubble boy for the night was Pierre. Pierre has had a good run with the APPA but tonight just wasnt his night.

English Pete made his exit in an unfamiliar 3rd position. Normally the man of shit or bust picked up his game to a competitive 3rd place finish.

Last 2 for the night were Kev and Midge. Its been sometime since these 2 faced off in the final 2 and with Kev holding the majority of chips in play fireworks were soon to follow.
First big hand of the final was a raise by Midge with pocket 7s only to be re-raised by Kev with pocket 10s for Midge to call All In with a call by Kev. Midge was all but done but managed to flop a 7 and hold on for trips. After doubling up Midge kept the pressure on Kev only for Kev to keep coming back into the game. The night was eventually robbed my Midge who called an all in bet from Kev with an unsuited AK and Midge with a A 6 suited. Although a 6 came down on the flop Midge also hit the flush on the river to end Kevs fight back.
