Well what can you say about another APPA poker game other than another interesting night full of twists and turns.

If the Churton Park poker group hand their first (and first of any of our teams) Royal Flush, we had a first of our own. Kev was out after 2 hands with the blind levels 25 / 50. Unfortunately for Kev the perfect storm brewed and being dealt AA, to hit another A on the flop as well as a pair of 5s Kev thought the night was his. Unfortunately our ring in for the night Chris also had a pocket pair which just happened to be 55. This giving Chris 5555 on the river (which I am reliably told was less than a 2% chance of happening) to end Kevs night!

Fortunately for Kev (with a bit of a grumble from Dave), we allowed Kev to buy back in although his place would be recorded as last.

With Chris with twice the chips of anyone else it was a daunting task to try and bring him back to the level of other chip players but we gave it a good go!

Kobus was dispatched in 6th place by the mighty chip stack before our struggling Dave was put out by Midge. Chris then proceeded to take down Francois and Pete leaving Midge and Chris to battle it out for 1st and 2nd.

With chip stacks largely even, it wasnt long before Midge pushed too hard with a bad hand and lost the night to Chris with an Ace high flush.

It is one thing with cards that every night is completely different and Im sure we all learned something from the game. Craig should be back for the next instalment of APPA poker again bringing a new dimension to the game I cant wait!

King of the ring - knocking out Kev after 2 hands!
